Hi, I’m Kyra Birmingham!

I am a sports and lifestyle photographer based between Eastern Pennsylvania and Austin, Texas.

My photography is shaped by two perspectives: the storytelling of journalism and the creativity of fine art. I strive to capture emotion, movement, and beauty no matter the subject. 

I am currently pursuing a Master's in strategic communication from the University of Texas at Austin.

While pursuing a bachelor's in photojournalism at Penn State, I worked as a staff photographer for Onward State, one of the largest student-run media outlets in the country. There, I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and live event coverage.

I recently completed a seasonal contract as a photography assistant with the Buffalo Bills. I also worked freelance for the Buffalo Sabres as well as other organizations throughout Western and Central New York, specializing in sports photography, commercial work, and remote photo editing.
